Events
Field Trips
Open to members and their families. Some are open to friends, or families considering homeschooling.
A variety of field trips are offered throughout the homeschool year. We try to include any that are inexpensive or free. Advance registration is required for
most field trips.
Parents' Night Meetings
Members and First Time guests welcome.
We would like to encourage our Faith families to join H.O.M.E. The meetings are held at Shepherd of the Hills Church in Northridge. These meetings
allow homeschool parents to hear wonderful speakers, learn new ideas, and be encouraged. Meetings are usually held on the second Monday of each month,
September through May (except December), at 7 p.m. The cost to join is $40, or$50 after the September meeting.
Park Days
Open to members & non-members.
We meet twice a month on Fridays at a local park. At park days we enjoy P.E. activities and holiday parties.
Special Events
Open to members and their families only.
Faith also plans special events where families can come together and share what
they have learned. Such events include: an International Fair, a Science Fair,
an end-of-the-year Promotion Night and a Back-to-School Kick-Off.
E-mail Newsletter
E-Mailed to members, and those interested in joining Faith.
The Faith newsletter provides information on upcoming events which includes
Parents’ Night meetings, field trips, seminars, resource services and much
more. The newsletter is published 10 times per year (monthly except July and
December) and e-mailed directly to the members.
Faith Academy
Lending Library
Available to members only.
Faith maintains a library of books, magazines and video tapes that are available
to members to check out at Parents’ Nights. These books include a large
variety of homeschool "how-to" books as well as Christian books and
tapes for the kids.
Used Curriculum Sale
Open to members & non-members.
Our annual used curriculum sale is scheduled in late May on a park day. The
specific date will be available in the spring.
